Adfam
Adfam is a national charity working with families affected by drugs and alcohol and is a leading agency in substance related family work. It provides a range of publications and resources for families about substances and criminal justice and operates an online message board and searchable database of local support groups that helps families hear about and talk to people who understand their situation. Adfam runs a range of training programmes on substances and family support. It also operates direct support services at London prisons for families of prisoners with drug problems. Alcohol Concern
The national agency on alcohol misuse.  Provides information and encourages debate on the wide range of public policy issues affected by alcohol; including public health, housing, children and families, crime and licensing. Families and Friends Project
Information and advice for family members and friends affected by drugs and alcohol in West Sussex through local drop in’s and telephone contact. Regular newsletter and annual conference.
The drop in services aims to provide a safe place, where people can receive free information and support from a team of friendly advisors.   Refreshments are provided and the friendly volunteer advisors are well trained and non judgemental.  There is also a confidential policy so people can speak in confidence.
